Barack Obama
Hi Guys,
Today our class watched the inauguration of President Barack Obama. I think this event had a huge impact on not just American history but history in general. The fact that an African American man can be placed in one of the highest ranks in the world. What a change. A few years ago I doubt an African American could run for president never mind actually winning. I noticed that people were very excited about this transition more so than others. I thought the reason for this might be one of two things. First the fact that he is African American or……. that their economy is not doing well and they just want a change. They being almost the whole world.
I am interested what your opinions are on the topic. Why do you think this transition had such an impact on the world? Also, do you think Barack Obama will do well? Leave a comment and I will leaveĀ a comment on your blog.

Hi
Your post is really good but the picture is a little, well, it doesn’t look like it’s, it’s a little squished.

Hi
Oh good you fixed the picture! Well I would say it had an impact on the world, not just the U.S. because the first African-American President has been elected, so it is quite different.

My students and I watched the entire days events as they happened! It was amazing to watch his first speech as President. We watched it with the entire fifth grade – about 350 of us. The students would applaud and clap whenever he made a strong point.
I think the next four years will be interesting. What will he change? Will he inspire others?

I think that Obama has been doing a great job as the president now. I’m kinda glad that John McCain didn’t win because Obama is probably a lot better for the job.
