After School Snacks
When I get home I am always looking for a little something to eat (a snack). Different people like different snacks. Here are my favourite after school snacks.
- Sushi- I like Sushi because it has a variety of food inside a bascilly one bite snack. The best sushi is sushi you have made on your own and personalized. To make sushi you will need: seaweed, white and sticky rice, a vegetable of your choice (avacado cucumber), if you want…. add a meat of some sort such as fish or crab. Once you have gathered all the ingredients take a bit of meat and vegetables and put them in a little pile. After that wrap the seaweed around followed by wrapping the sticky rice around the seaweed…….. and voila you have your personal sushi snack. P.S. Don’t forget soy sauce and if you are a vegetarian don’t put in meat obviously.
- Ham Roll Ups- Ham Roll Ups are a nice after school snack because well….. they taste good. This isn’t really a snack I need to tell you how to make but anyway if you are wondering you take a slice of deli ham and roll it starting from one side.

It’s funny, sushi is one of my favorite foods but I never think to have it as a snack! Most of my friends can’t stand it but I can’t get enough of it. I’ll have to keep some vegetable maki in the fridge for snack time.
BTW, thanks for linking to Teach42 in your sidebar! Sue Waters (The Edublogger) saw it there and let me know about your blog! Looks like you’re doing a great job here (loved the Obama post), so keep it up!

Sushi!! Yummy, I often have this for a meal rather than a snack. Luckily, the local take-away store has sushi at least twice a week.

Hi Nicholas!
Thank you for your visit and for all your great suggestions! Actually, our class blog will be in charge of “Bringing us Together” from the first February until the 14th; some of my students have already came up with some inspired ideas to post, so I’m looking forward to getting to work with them.
Up to now, they have just started their own “response” to the new blog – as I’m not allowed to practice any blogging during class time, they have to work at home, by their own initiative. Besides that, we have some issues with the automate translator: I must check out and correct the post or comment each time they use it, otherwise, it’s hardly readable.
However, English language is not a problem to Claudia! If you wish to contact her, as well as Madalena M 6B in their own blogs, here is the url for Madalena: http://madalena12cad6b.edublogs.org/
As for other Portuguese class blogs, I’m looking for them too, I hope to bring you an answer soon.
I loved you snack!

Hi Nicholas,
Those are some great snack ideas. Sushi is one of my absolute favorite foods, and ham roll-ups sound delicious. Have you ever tried wrapping the ham around something sweet, like an apple slice or cantaloupe slice? It sounds weird, but the salty and sweet flavours together are really yummy.

Hi Nicholas!
I love sushi too. It is my favorite food.
Thanks for the comment on my Obama post. And i do agree with you. World Racism(or at least racism in the states) will most likelystop quite soon because an African-American is the president!

Hi Nicholas
Yea, there are a lot of songs on that post. And to answer your question of how many songs are on my iPod, I just downloaded my 600th a couple of days ago. It holds 1000 so I can still add more.
Sushi is awesome! I love California rolls from Safeway!
